Tarot Spreads

Tarot Spreads is a method of spreading or laying out a deck of tarot cards. Once the cards are arranged in specific fashion then try to read the cards one by one and tell about a person’s past, present as well as future events.

Tarot spreads is a technique in which you spread the tarot cards in order to read them. What is the important is the way you spread the tarot cards, as every different position yields some different information. Celtic cross (a ten card spread) is a good spread, as it gives you a good amount of information on a specific situation.

There are many other layouts which give you a lot of information about astrological perspectives and also, information about the year view.

The following are the spreads which are common -:

Five Card Spread - :
You can determine the course of action for future by looking at these cards.

Card 1 represents general or present theme of reading.

Card2 tells us about the past influence still having its effect in the present time.

Card3 deals with the future.

Card4 indicates the reason behind the question. Card4 will tell you about a subconscious impulse, a hindrance, which is stopping you from achieving your desired goal.

Card5 talks about the potential in the current situation. It also tells us about the possible result after taking a given course of action.



Tarot Spreads

The spread works best if we concentrate on one aspect of decision-making

Ellipse Spread - : It is a seven card spread and it gives direct answers to your questions.

Card 1 signifies past influences having effect on the present situation.

Cards 2 tells us about the present influences surrounding a person.

Card 3 implies the effect of future influences on us.

Card 4 says what to do in such a situation.

Card 5 tells us about the external influences on the present situation.

Card 6 talks about the fears and hope a person has and how he can overcome it.

Card 7 affirms the final outcome of the present situation.

The Celtic Cross Spreads -: Celtic cross is the most common type of tarot spread or tarot layout. Celtic cross works best when a specific question is concerned. Put some thought before asking a question.

Card 1 professes about the present.

Card 2 tells us about the immediate challenge you would be facing. After that, you may pull a difficult card, which would indicate an obstacle that has to be overcome. When you open a good card then also be careful, as it would represent a challenge

Card 3 represents past and foundation. This card indicates the root of the subject matter.

Card 4 It tells us about the recent past and events that have already taken place. For example if a love affair is going wrong then card3 would tell us about the root cause of the things going wrong. Card4 would show something to reflect what happened recently

Card 5 professes about the best that can be achieved in any situation.

Card 6 tells us about the immediate future, that is, what could happen in a day or two. (it doesn’t predict what would happen in a month’s time)

Card 7 indicates the factors and feeling affecting the present situation.

Card 8 tells us about the external influences.

Card 9 talks about the hopes and fears of a person.

Card 10 deals with the final outcome of the situation.
